I am Shopmobility Sheffield's Publicity and
Development Officer.
As part of my duties, I visit local groups and
organisations, to tellthem what a great idea
Shopmobility Sheffield is, and how much people
who have mobility difficulties can benefit from it.

I have first-hand experience of disability, having
been a wheelchair user since 1994.

Shopmobility Sheffield helped give me my
independence back. I wanted a way to say thank
you, so I began volunteering with the service,
in 1999.

In 2004, I took up a paid post with the service,
for a year. Through spreading the word about
the service, we have seen a good number of
new users coming in, and benefiting
from using us.
